Having finished second in the sprint race Rob Collard then went on to win the Production Class Feature Race and takes an early lead in the Championship.

Rob Collard, once again running his West Surrey Racing built Renault Clio, was placed second in the opening sprint race of the 2002 MSA British Touring Car Championship with a time of 34m 58.142s and an average speed of 85.53 mph.

Rob crossed the finish line less than a second behind Norman Simon in the Edenbridge BMW 320 in the sprint but got his revenge in the feature race, beating Tom Boardman in the other Edenbridge BMW into second place with a time of 46m 18.779s averaging 84.97 mph.
